What we track

cleardose tracks 42 GPhC-registered UK providers offering private prescriptions for Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide). We do not include providers offering unlicensed, compounded, or unregulated GLP-1 products. Every provider in the comparison tool has been verified as GPhC-registered at the time of inclusion.

For each provider and drug/dose combination, we collect and maintain the following data:

Data field What it captures Update frequency
Ongoing monthly price Standard monthly cost at each dose for a continuing patient. Includes medication and standard delivery where bundled. Excludes separate consultation fees unless stated as included. Weekly
First-month / introductory price Where a provider offers a reduced price for the first order, we capture this separately. Used when ranking for "best first-order deal." Weekly
Recurring discounts Permanent or subscription-based price reductions that apply to every order, not just the first. Weekly
Delivery cost Standard delivery charge per order, if not included in the medication price. Providers with free standard delivery are scored accordingly. Weekly
Dose transfer policy Whether the provider will accept incoming patients at a dose above the starting 2.5mg / 0.25mg, and the evidence they require to do so. Captured in milligrams accepted for transfer. Monthly
Trustpilot rating Verified Trustpilot score as published. We use the published score; we do not independently verify or audit reviews. Monthly
Programme tier Whether the provider is a pharmacy-only dispensing service, or a programme provider offering coaching, dietitian support, or structured behaviour change alongside medication. Quarterly
NHS linkage Whether the provider has a documented connection to NHS weight management services or offers NHS referral pathways. Quarterly

How rankings work

Rankings are calculated in real time based on user inputs — medication, dose, patient type (new patient or switcher), and optional preferences. The same provider will rank differently for different users. There is no fixed league table.

The primary signal: price for your situation

The dominant ranking factor is effective price — but the price we use depends on what you've told us:

Preference signals

When you select preferences in the comparison tool, they adjust the scoring weights applied to each factor. No preference overrides price entirely — they shift emphasis. The dimensions and their weighting behaviour:

Price
Effective price for your situation, calculated as above
Dominant factor
First-order discount
Size of introductory offer, weighted higher for new patients
Secondary
Recurring discount
Permanent per-order savings; weighted higher when "loyalty pricing" selected
Secondary
Trustpilot rating
Published verified score; weighted higher when "high Trustpilot" selected
Secondary
Dose transfer policy
Maximum accepted incoming dose in mg; weighted significantly higher when "easy switching" selected
Secondary
Delivery cost
Free delivery providers score a bonus; weighted higher when "fast delivery" selected
Minor
Programme / coaching
Programme-tier providers score a bonus when "health coaching" or "NHS-linked" preference selected
Preference-gated

Providers with no price data for the selected drug and dose are excluded from results entirely rather than ranked last. A provider that doesn't offer a specific dose should not appear as an option for that dose.

Data collection and verification

Prices are checked weekly by our team directly from provider websites and order flows. We check both the listed price and the checkout price where these differ. Where a provider shows different prices for different membership or subscription tiers, we use the standard non-membership price unless the membership is clearly free.

We do not rely on provider-submitted data. Providers cannot update their own listings, request changes to their ranking, or submit promotional information for inclusion. All data is collected independently.

Despite weekly checks, prices can change between updates. We display the date of last update on the comparison tool. If you find a discrepancy between a listed price and the price you see on a provider's website, please report it using the contact details below.

On Trustpilot ratings: We use published Trustpilot scores as a proxy for patient experience because they're independently verified and publicly available. We acknowledge their limitations — review volume, recency, and category vary between providers. We do not weight Trustpilot heavily in default rankings; it becomes significant only when the user explicitly selects it as a preference.

Independence policy

No provider pays to appear on cleardose.
Inclusion in the comparison tool is determined solely by whether a provider is GPhC-registered and offers private prescriptions for Mounjaro or Wegovy. There is no fee to be listed.
No provider pays to rank higher.
Rankings are calculated algorithmically based on price and user-selected preferences. No commercial arrangement with any provider affects their position in results.
cleardose does not earn affiliate commission.
We do not receive payment when a user clicks through to a provider or completes a purchase. There is no financial incentive for us to favour any provider over another.
No pharmaceutical manufacturer funds or influences cleardose.
We have no commercial relationship with Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, or any other pharmaceutical company.
cleardose is funded by the editorial team that operates it. We are exploring sustainability models that preserve editorial independence. If and when this changes, we will update this page before any commercial relationship affects our content or rankings.

Editorial policy for guide content

The guides and articles published on cleardose are written by our editorial team and reviewed for clinical accuracy against published trial data and MHRA/NICE guidance. We do not accept sponsored content, native advertising, or paid article placements.

Where we describe clinical evidence, we cite the relevant trials. Where evidence is uncertain or emerging, we say so. Where a claim requires clinical judgement rather than established evidence, we flag it as such.

Guides are updated when significant new evidence emerges — for example, the addition of the Wegovy 7.2mg dose in January 2026, or new cardiovascular trial data. The last-updated date appears at the top of each article.

Reporting errors and updates

If you find a price that differs from what we show, a provider whose GPhC registration has changed, or any other factual error in our comparison data or editorial content — please let us know.

Contact us at [email protected] with the provider name, the discrepancy you've found, and a source where possible. We aim to review and update within 48 hours for price corrections.

If you are a provider and believe your listing contains an error, please use the same contact address. We will correct factual errors promptly. We do not accept requests to change ranking position, add promotional content, or remove accurate data.

About cleardose

cleardose was built in 2026 by a team with a background in health information and consumer advocacy. It exists because the UK GLP-1 market is large, commercially driven, and difficult for patients to navigate without a resource that has no stake in which provider they choose.

The site is not affiliated with any provider, pharmacy group, pharmaceutical manufacturer, or investment vehicle with interests in the GLP-1 space.

If you're a journalist, researcher, or policy professional looking to cite cleardose data or methodology, please contact us at [email protected]. We're happy to provide additional context on data sources and methodology.
